Primal Health Coaching FAQ

1. How is Primal Health Coaching different from Personal Training?

The biggest difference you will notice, is that there is a major focus on decreasing inflammation in the body. In other standard personal training sessions, you may notice the focus on macros as the driving factor for weight loss. And while this does work, the quality and types of food you are consuming may leave you feeling sluggish, inflamed, and stressed. Our approach is based on building a foundation of removing inflammation and toxins from the body, so you have energy and improved cognitive function. Focusing on these aspects will lead to natural weight loss, and better recovery overall.

2. Is Primal Health the same as Paleo?

This is a great question. They are very similar. Both remove processed foods from the diet, emphasize a diet heavy on vegetables, meat and fats. But they differ in a few aspects. Daily is not recommended on the Paleo Diet, but raw (or fermented dairy) is allowed on the Primal Diet. The Primal Blueprint is also a lifestyle, while Paleo tends to just focus on nutrition.

Here is a great article that can give you more information.

3. What comes with the coaching?

The coaching can be flexible to what you need, and that is something we will discuss in the initial discovery call. But it typically would include an overall assessment, followed by a personalized lifestyle plan. This includes nutrition, fitness, and environment coaching to create a lifestyle that helps you become your best self. I will also be checking in with you weekly to assess how the transition is going, and fine-tune your plan. I plan to work together with you between 1-3 months, and from there, you will be ready to take your new lifestyle into your own hands.

4. How much does it cost?

The initial discovery call is free, to better assess what your needs are. And from there, depending on what you are needed, it may cost $150-$300 per month. This can include in-person coaching, with a personalized lifestyle plan, and weekly follow up calls (1 hour long), to everything being done online. And that is something we will figure out in the initial discovery call.
