What is Primal Health Coaching?

Primal Health Coaching is coaching that is designed to create a lifestyle inspired by our ancestors. This means eating real, whole foods, and moving as humans were designed to move. We'll also focus on sleeping and living according to our natural rhythms, all of which foster maximal health. And I'll be coaching you through the process of connecting to your inner wisdom. 

This program was designed by Mark Sisson, creator of Mark's Daily Apple, the Primal Blueprint, The Keto Reset Diet, and Primal Kitchen. Since the founding of Mark's Daily Apple in 2006, Mark's mission has been to empower others to take full responsibility of their own health and enjoyment of life by investigating, discussing, and critically rethinking everything we've assumed to be true about about health and wellness. 

Coaching Options

My goal is to help you in the best way possible. The best way to do this, would be to have a discovery call to discuss different options, ranging from one-on-one coaching, in person or online, to a group setting, so you can inspire and motivate each other, and create your own tribe.

What to Expect

I have personally experienced less inflammation, especially in my knees, which began to hurt, shortly after giving birth of my oldest child. As soon as I took out certain foods in our modern diet, the pain in my knees completely vanished. I have also experienced weight loss, less puffiness (especially in my face), less brain fog, better energy, and a better immune system (in which I rarely get sick). 

Success Stories

Geoff and I struggled with inflammation and stress since their 2011. We ate foods that didn't align with what their bodies needed, were chronically stressed with modern lifestyle pressures, and this led to poor energy, weight gain, tendinitis for Geoff, and Hashimoto's Disease for me. Then I discovered The Primal Blueprint shortly after my Hashimoto's diagnosis, and this led to a major lifestyle change, which included a completely different diet, more focus on sleep, simple movements, such as daily walks and yoga, sunshine, and letting go of unnecessary stress. But most importantly, it cleared my brain fog, which was starting to worry me as it was becoming a problem with my work as a Customer Service Analyst.

 After seeing this dramatic change in Samantha, Geoff happily tried out the Primal Blueprint. And he responded even quicker than I did. He quickly lost weight, and his severe tendinitis was eliminated! This was something he had dealt with for years!

 After seeing the dramatic change in myself, and Geoff and I as a couple, I was determined to help others. So I became a Primal Health Coach. And I am so excited to help others get their power back!

Primal Health is about getting back to basics. If you are feeling overwhelmed with ALL the information on health and nutrition, this is a great route to simplify and declutter the information you have been exposed too. Remember, it wasn't too long ago that we all thought margarine was the solution to all our problems! Come to find out, it is a MAJOR cause of inflammation. And when it comes down to it, its all about eating foods in their most natural state as possible. That includes organic fruits and vegetables, meat from a wild source (not raised in feed lots), and fats that have not been manipulated by humans, such as vegetable oils.

For movement, if you are like most of us, and work in an environment where you are in one position (sitting or standing) for long periods of time, we will focus on the basics with that as well. Going on walks daily, body weight movements, stretching, and working our way up to sprinting and functional training, so that you feel strong and confident in your body. 

We will also focus on removing toxins in your environment, such as household cleaning chemicals, chemicals in water, poor air quality, and chemicals found in beauty products. This will be a key component in feeling more energized, and will aid in your body's own natural detox capabilities. 

And lastly, I'll teach you about other key aspects for long term health, such as appropriate sun exposure, grounding, and breathing/meditation techniques.
